Experienced Transcriptionist (Intermittent)

Position Overview

Remote. We are seeking highly-skilled and detail-oriented Freelance Transcriptionists to join our team. This position is on an as-needed basis and is not a full-time position. As a Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for converting audio and video recordings into accurate and well-formatted written documents. This position requires exceptional listening skills, excellent grammar and punctuation, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently. Research is required to verify terminology or acronyms that may be unfamiliar.

Qualifications

• Must live in the United States.
• At least 2 years of experience as a transcriptionist.
• Proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and spelling, with strong attention to detail.
• Proofreading skills to ensure error-free text.
• Exceptional listening skills and ability to understand various accents and dialects.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent typing skills, minimum 60 WPM.

• Microsoft Word
• Audio player software (Express Scribe)
• Gmail / Google Chat

Hardware

• Good quality headphones or headset
• Foot pedal
